Do I need to pay a deposit?Yes. A non-refundable, non-transferable deposit of 50% of your total is required upon signing of the invoice and catering contract (if applicable). Your balance is due 7 days prior to the date of your event.

Do you charge sales tax?ll prices are subject to the applicable Massachusetts and City of Boston sales taxes (6.75% and .25% respectively). If a client is tax-exempt, a table x-exempt ID number must be provided upon signing of invoice and catering contract in order to receive the exemption.

What forms of payments do you accept?We accept cash, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.

Do you cover venue fees?Sam's Spot Catering will not assume responsibility for charges pertaining to venue rental or use of venue kitchen facilities. Any fees should be paid by client directly to venue prior to the event. We will clean-up after each event and leave the facility as it was prior to the start of your event.

Do you charge a delivery fee?Delivery fees apply to "drop" services only. If buffet or plated meal services are being provided, no delivery fee will be charged. Delivery fees are as follows: Up to 5 miles: $30 5 to 20 miles: $50 20 - 75 miles: $80

Does your cost include gratuity / service fees?Any orders submitted within a week prior to event will be charged a service fee of $75. A gratuity charge of 15% (of food costs) will be added if staff is required for any event. Our staff welcomes additional gratuity for exceptional service - at client’s discretion!

Is there a set-up / clean-up or service fee?Additional costs may apply depending on your event needs. Please contact us for information specific to your event.

Do I need to provide a specific guest count?Under Covid-19 regulations, all events held at Sam's Spot have a maximum of 25 guests (no exceptions!) All guests are required to wear masks at the during the time of event and have proper temperature. Catering drop offs have no guest limit, onsite catering is limited to a maximum of 25 guests until further notice! Although we do not have an event minimum, a minimum guaranteed guest count must be provided upon signing of invoice and catering contract. Guest count must be finalized 7 days prior to the event. After this point the count can be increased, but not decreased.

How much notice do you need to provide services?Catering and event rental requires two weeks notice. If event is booked within 2 weeks, will be subjected to late fee. Weddings require 3-6 months in advance depending on size of party.

Can I rent equipment from you?We provide chafing racks for $40. If you return it to us, you will receive $20 back.

What if I want something that isn't listed on your menu?We will be happy to work with you on a customized menu! Please concat us if there is something you'd like and don't see listed.

What is your Covid protocols-Staff fully trained in and follow all saftey protocols as directed by local authorities. -Customers are required to wear masks, sanitize hands and social distancing upon entering both restaurant and event space. -Protective screen or physical barries in required area. -
